Clarks Wallabees - The Cult Classic Comfort Boot
Clarks is a classic shoe manufacturer that has been around for quite some time - almost 200 years! It was started in 1825 by two brothers - Cyrus and James Clark. Originally they made rugs and slippers out of sheepskin, but today we know them as one of the world's most successful global shoe brands. They produce tens of millions of shoes per year and have international brand recognition. For good reason - their most popular shoes like Clarks Wallabees are extremely well crafted, as well as stylish.
Throughout most of the company's history shoes were manufactured in Somerset, England. Because the Clark brothers were Quakers, their work ethic made provision for workers' housing, education and leisure activities, which made their company quite efficient and contributed a great deal to its growth. As time went on and production costs dropped in international countries, Clarks moved their production overseas to save money.
Throughout their history, Clarks has created many iconic styles.
