As they got out of the blue pickup truck that was theirs David took his own suitcase and said "Listen Pete, I don't want to meet my daughter-in-law or daughter like you want me to think of her till I've had a shower, a shave and a change of clothes, you know this is the first time I'm meeting her and all and seeing the way you're dressed, I can imagine how she must be dressed so let me go in through the back and get upstairs or is she in the kitchen cooking?" in a tone that implored being understood for its good intensions with an expression on his face that seemed almost apologetic though without real reason for being so. "She's probably in the kitchen, she said food from her country is hard to prepare if anything I should help but dad it is not really necessary for you to get changed before you meet her." Peter argued as he felt his dad had gotten the wrong idea only to have his father reply in the following fashion "Son, I love you so let me tell you one simple fact of life; you never get a second chance to make a good first impression, so don't argue with me boy and do what your pa tells you; (speaking in jest which his son could see was his father's sense of humor as they looked at each other standing next to the pick up truck) so go keep that girl, sorry I was going to say girlfriend (now both laughing) that Mrs. of yours busy in the kitchen while I go up stairs and get descent.".

 

As David turned away "dad," was the word he heard as he turned around to hear his enthusiastic son say "Glad to have you back.". He could have replied in the same manner but this he felt was not necessary so he said "Will you get going before that lady of yours comes out and sees me like this!" and turned away quickly, entering the house through the front door where he felt relief not to find his daughter-in-law.

 

Peter could tell by the noise coming from the kitchen in what part of the house Roxana was in so he just stood there looking at his house and how different it felt with a woman now there to make life just a tad more delicate in taste and did she ever have that femininity about her that so had been lacking in the house. The house in and of itself was the same; it being small but only in comparison to their neighbors, it having two floors with an attic. Naturally this being Texas, a state that from time to time during the summer was visited by the occasional twister, made it necessary for every house, theirs not being the exception to have a basement which they built as protection from the deadly devastation a tornado could deliver at any given moment.

 

On that occasion Peter parked the pickup truck in the driveway which led to the two car garage located right next to the house, with a door that connected it to the house. As Peter entered the house he saw Roxana, whose eyes looked up at him as she stood next to the kitchen table which was in the center of the room; chopping some carrots with a meat cleaver. It was the sight of her that never failed to intrigue, she resembling an angel in his eyes with all the features of one which on that day came out more because of her wears which included a white long sleeved blouse, a long dark brown skirt that went down slightly past her knee, tan stockings and a pair of black high heel shoes. She had really dressed up making him feel proud to claim to the whole world and most of all to the entire county that this lady was the one he had be wed. Roxana feeling his eyes upon her while performing this menial task said "Hi, where is your father?". Peter looked on and as he did moved up from behind Roxana grabbing her by the waist which led his hands down her slightly plump body to her thighs; making him feel the garter belt that held up her stockings as he pressed against her back and moved his hands up to the large mounds of flesh which composed her breasts. Roxana closed her eyes as his touch excited her for a moment.

 

"Stop, what if your father come in and see us?" Roxana cried out with worry as she put down the cleaver on the table and turned around putting her arms under his. Peter laughed as he kissed her lightly on the lips with her closing her eyes. "He is upstairs taking a shower and getting changed for lunch, he didn't want you to see him before he had a chance to change in to something more presentable.". Roxana for the most part understood English, even better than she could speak it but from time to time was confronted by a word that was new though her imagination did allow her to comprehend the general idea of what was being told. "I almost finish here, you go wash hands and wait for your father to finish." Roxana said as she kissed Peter lightly on the mouth and went back to her cooking.

 

"I have to go to the bathroom first then I will come back and help you. I can see you've done a lot so I want to help." Peter seemed to plead with Roxana who was all work; now moving about the kitchen, getting all she had cut up in to a large bowl. "No, you go wait for your father. I do everything, don't argue with wife!" Roxana said in a voice that took on a military air, as if giving an order. Peter feeling the need to relieve himself more and more just said "Yes. Sir." with a mock salute as he walked out of the kitchen to the only toilet they had downstairs which was next to the kitchen and the other large room on the ground floor. This room serving as both living room and dinning room.

 

After Peter left the kitchen Roxana looked in to the oven where she saw that the roast she had put in was done and as she turned off the gas she got the urge to smoke a cigarette, something she knew Peter did not mind. Roxana keeping her cigarettes upstairs in their bedroom went to get them forgetting that Peter's father had not wanted her to see her till he was ready but this had slipped her mind as she walked up the stairs to the bedroom that had become theirs.

 

Roxana made her way to the bedroom she shared with Peter, without running in to David, who was in the bathroom. It however was when she had the cigarettes and was heading back downstairs that she went past David's bedroom where she saw him standing stark naked in front of the mirror looking into a drawer that stood next to a full-length mirror. It was the reflection of which that allowed her to see his male organ along with the rest of his body which caught her eye like none other had. This being the case despite her getting a good look at him as he did not even notice her with his attention being focused on what undergarments he would be wearing. Of course it was not only his body which had excited her but the circumstances of the act, that included how her husband might have found out or that she might have been caught. In a way swiping a glimpse of what was and should not be either for her nor even her desire for now she had promised herself forever to love, honor and obey the man who was not only her husband but the son of the man, whose body had excited her so.

 

Roxana was slightly shocked at how though this man was not muscular; he could have such a nice body, in its being balanced and strong while at the same time having a look about it that was gentle, like a man who would be tender to her while making love. It was not that her husband could not satisfy her but he was young and one could see not that his was a lack of experience; for to her good lovers were born; not made. Peter was one who was shy about everything, almost insecure while this man, his father seemed sure of himself, even or perhaps specially when standing there nude. In the few seconds she had seen him she could tell he had the strength of character which to her was so important.

 

Roxana ran downstairs and fortunately for her, Peter did not see her coming down the stairs as she felt her face showed a blush after having seen in the nude the man he had asked her to think of as her second father, her having already lost hers. Her heart was beating faster this; she felt as if she had been running after seeing him in all his sex appeal which was that of another kind. Of course, the extra element of thrill came from the risk factor that she might have been discovered which she doubted very much. When Roxana entered the kitchen she saw Peter taking out some dishes for their lunch and giggling as he saw her enter. At first Roxana was worried which showed on her face; "What you laugh at?" Roxana asked. Peter

looked at her for a split second as he got more plates from the cupboard and said "You just

had to go get your cigarettes? Didn't you?" in a tone that more played with her than anything else. Roxana could see that Peter did not suspect that she had been upstairs so she simply sat down at the table where she used the lighter. "I leave my cigarettes in porch, I go get them." Roxana spoke as she blew up smoke and placed her cigarette on the ashtray in front of her on the kitchen table.

 

To Peter it seemed that Roxana was agitated. As if she had been running or perhaps was just anxious about meeting her father-in-law for the first time but something in her gave the impression that she was nervous, almost uptight. It even seemed that she was using the smoke from this cigarette to calm down. As if she could puff away her worries through the smoke her mouth released in to the air, much like a chimney. It was the sight of Roxana smoking a cigarette in the way she did that reminded him of how she would have a smoke every time she was due to go up on stage and sing in that bar where he first met her. His would have been to tell her to calm down but if one thing he had learnt in war was there were some things one individual could not order another to do and one of them was to calm down or not be afraid; for this was what the individual's will had no control over. He instead simply watched her smoke her cigarette and witnessed for himself the soothing effect it had on her as it had in the past when she sought to calm her nerves before going on stage.

 

Peter took out just enough plates for three to eat on as all the food had already been served and was ready to be taken out. Roxana and he; having an agreement that she did the cooking while he in keeping with his part of the deal would set the table which he was about to do. This while she sat and enjoyed a smoke after having labored over the stove for most of the hours of the morning and in to the early afternoon. It was even much more to her credit that in all this she had had time to get showered and dressed in the manner she had.
