UGG Boots: The Ultimate Cold Weather Fashion Statement

The folks at UGG Australia have turned the once ugly winter boot into a fashion statement worn by celebrities across the globe. But while Hollywood winters don't really require a heavy-duty winter boot, those of use who are not blessed with a perpetually temperate climate are lucky to have footwear that is warm, comfortable and stylish; especially in the most brutally cold weather of the winter.

Both are made of Twin-faced Grade A Sheepskin and are lined in plush fleece. These 2 Classic styles also have flexible, lightweight molded EVA outsoles. Available colors on both include Black, Chocolate, Chestnut, Sand, Paisley, Gray, Metallic Gold, Terracotta, Eggplant and Magenta Sheepskin. The Classic Tall is also available in Baroque Black, Baroque Sand, Marbled Nickel, Bomber Jacket Leather, Marbled Copper, Mulberry Sheepskin.

Another of UGG's iconic women's designs is their Classic Cardy boot: a heathered merino wool boot that resembles your softest, most comfortable sweater. This slouchy style has three wooden buttons with the UGG logo and can be worn up, scrunched down or cuffed over. The shaft height reaches 14.5 inches when uncuffed.  The Classic Cardy has a sheepskin covered foam insole and a flexible molded EVA outsole. Available colors include Gray, Indigo, Black, Fig, Moss, and Sorbet.

For women looking for an UGG boot that is different from their Classic style, the Knightsbridge has a more fashion-forward design without sacrificing the functionality and comfort of their traditional boots. The Knightsbridge has a slimmer, more contoured profile than the Classic designs and has a multi-colored zipper that runs along the back of the boot. The shaft on this boot reaches 12 inches. It is made of fully-lined sheepskin and has an EVA sole for cushion and comfort. The Knightsbridge comes in Black or Shadow Gray.

After a hard day facing the elements, a nice, cozy slipper is just what the doctor ordered for an evening of relaxation. And if you thought UGG's boots were comfortable, just wait until you slip on their slippers. The Coquette and the Bipster are two different styles that both deliver in terms of warmth, comfort and functionality. The Coquette is a clog-like slip-on made of twin-faced sheepskin. It has a moisture-wicking sheepskin sockliner and molded EVA outsoles for traction and durability. The Coquette is available in Black, Chestnut, Sand and Felt.

For a more enclosed slipper, the suede Bipster slips on like a bootie and has an exposed fleece cuff at the ankle. The Bipster also has a fully-lined sheepskin sockliner and lightweight rubber bottom. It is available in Black and Chestnut.

Men's and Children's Styles

Though UGG's Men's and Children's lines do not feature as many different styles as their Women's line; the Classic UGG is available for both. Men have the Classic Short UGG boot and tykes have the Kid's Classic Tall boot. The men's and kids versions of the Classic are made of Twin-faced sheepskin and have the same features as the Women's style.  The shaft height on Men's Classic short is 8.5 inches. It is available in chestnut.  The children's Classic has an approximate shaft height of 6 inches and is available for Toddlers sizes 7-12 and Youth sizes 13-16. Available kids' colors include Chestnut, Black, Sand, Chocolate Brown and Metallic Copper.

UGG also makes slippers for men. Two styles worth checking out are the Tasman and the Ascot. The Tasman slip-on is made of suede with a plush sheepskin lining and Tasman detailing on the cuff. Built on the Classic outsole design, this slipper can also be used as a shoe or clog. It is available in Chestnut Suede.

If a clog-like slipper is a little too earthy-crunchy for your tastes, the Ascot is a more enclosed option. Available in Chestnut Suede, Black or China Tea Leather, this moccasin-like slipper can also be worn as a shoe. Lined in plush sheepskin, the Ascot is equally cozy in the house as it is when you are dashing out to grab the morning paper.
