How do you know if you are running in the right pair of shoes? Some people are completely oblivious to the fact that manufactures offers the different running shoes types for three arch types. The style options for sneakers are seemingly infinite, but none of that matters if you are wearing the wrong type of shoes for your arch. Learning what arch type you have will determine which type of footwear among all the different types is the right one for you.
It is important to run in shoes made for your arch because doing so will avoid pain, pressure and injury. Many people feel pressure and pain and are unaware that if they wear footwear made for their arch it may relieve the discomfort. Individuals will experience comfort and ease while wearing shoes made for their arch type.
Flat footed individuals or over pro-nation tend to have too much of an inward roll upon landing the foot on the ground. The half arched or Neutral footed individuals has a normal walk when the foot hit the ground and can take advantage of wearing any type of shoes. The heel and ball or under pro-nation footed individuals do not have enough of an inward roll upon landing.
To determine which one of the three arch types you have you can visit with a fit specialist and have your feet professionally fitted or by performing the Wet Test at home. The wet test is done by wetting your foot and stepping on a dry paper bag then studying your foot print. You will then be armed with the knowledge you need to find the right running shoes for you.
A neutral runner is a runner with no problems; his gait is right in the middle. There are shoes specifically made for the neutral runner, but this type of runner also has the luxury of wearing almost any of the different types sneakers. Choosing a pair of kicks for the style of running you do will be relatively easy, now that you know what type of gait you have.
Now, as you browse through the aisles of your favorite shoe store or search through the different types of footwear on the internet you do not have to feel overwhelmed or lost. All that is left to do is to choose a stylish pair for the sport that you play.
Brands in my opinion are not as important as the craftsmanship and overall quality of the running shoe. You want to be able to wear your shoes for a desired amount of time; it would be unfortunate and dangerous if it were to come undone while in the middle of a race or if you were playing a sport.
Shopping for the right kind of shoes among the many footwear types does not have to be an overwhelming experience. Everything will fall into place once you know what type of gait you have, then you will be on your way to owning the perfect running shoe for you.
