Jungle Boots and other Forms of Combat Gear
Military ensemble has always stood for courage, honor, duty and sacrifice for any nation. The gear that a soldier wears represents the values that he embodies. In fact, it is a manifestation of the ideals that the country preserves and seeks to propagate amongst the younger generations. Every element of military gear embodies these values. The military uniform of each country has an eminent quality of its own. So does each head gear that the forces wear. Completing the display, the boots – whether combat, desert or jungle boots play a major role too. The call of duty requires that a soldier be well equipped to handle the toughest of situations. This can only be possible if he has on, first of all, the pertinent accouterments. If he can rely completely on these, he can safely and securely concentrate on protecting his nation.
If the footgear is hard wearing, the soldier can be at ease about his grip, treading on any surface and facing any challenging situation. Military boots can also be of several kinds. Traditional army or combat boots are made of leather that is waterproof. Soldiers wear these during combat. Sturdy and resilient, they provide adequate support and comfort to the soldier, since he may require wearing them for long and strenuous periods of time. jungle boots are worn while forces are on a mission in a place with tropical climate. As the name suggests, they are worn in areas where leather boots might cause a hindrance to combat. Similarly boots that soldiers can wear in extreme cold weather conditions have woolen layers to provide insulation. They provide warmth and comfort to the wearer. Forces posted in snow-covered areas make use of this footgear.
Soldiers on duty may be required to alight and tread on very muddy surfaces. They may also be exposed to certain chemicals on the tanks. The jungle boots they wear, therefore, are resistant to all such substances and do not wear out easily, even in the toughest conditions. In desert areas, boots that do not cause feet to get heated are worn. They also enable soldiers to easily be able to tread on sand. Boots for marching are also different. They have studded soles that create a loud crunching sound while marching. Tanker boots are made such that they contain straps rather than laces. In such a case, there are no chances of laces getting undone and getting entangled in any tank equipment.
Military forces are equipped with gear that requires minimal care, since they do not have time for such trivialities. Combat attire is made of tough fabric that requires little care. Desert, cold weather, tank or jungle boots, similarly, need some cleaning up when not on the field. While leather boots can be cleaned with a damp cloth gently, jungle boots and those worn in deserts may need washing. Nonetheless, these are elements worn by some of the strongest men and accustomed to rough usage.
