In 1975 Cole Haan was sold to a group of partners headed by George Denny who  flourished the label to one of the most prestigious US footwear brands. And then in 1988. Cole Haan has been associated with Nike by the use of  their athletic based technology in its own casual and dress footwear.  And above all these, Cole Haan has been working to really establish their own brand image.

Cole Haan expands its product lines to pumps, flats, sandals and other accessories such as Cole Haan handbags, briefcases, belts and wallets. Now after more than 80 years, it has grown to one of the high-end fashion brands. 2008 Cole Haan stopped using animal fur in its products, which is a pleasing decision, near and dear to many people's hearts. Many of Cole Haan's competitors have relied on licensed designer labels to increase their sales, but the company has preferred to focus on building its own brand. It has expanded the Cole Haan name into pumps, flats, sandals, and other casual and formal styles, and has since segued into leather accessories such as handbags, briefcases, belts, and wallet
