Things to remember during graduation day
After a long wait, the day has finally arrived where you will wear your graduation gown and accepting the diploma from the senior officials of the university right in front of your family. Yes, the excitement is palpable in everybody's face and it's almost the feeling that you have done it. There are certain things that you need to be aware when you are on that day, like what should you wear, how the process goes, how many hours you will need to be waiting for the ceremony. Ideally, when you talk about graduation ceremony its starts off with a procession, wherein all the graduation students take part and they have to be adorning themselves with the cap and gowns and caps for graduation. Once the procession is over, it is followed up by a small prayer and the national anthem of the country.
This time, the one thing you should be taking care of is that you wear comfortable dressing underneath, as you may need to wait for a long time. Graduation tassel and graduation honor cords should be a part of everybody's dressing as the tassels needs to be shifted from left to right, after you get hold of your diploma and the chord is required to keep the medals intact. Once the prayer and national anthem is over, they start of handing over the diplomas to the students.
A senior official of the college will be presenting the diploma to the students when their name is called upon. The degree ideally given to them at the graduation ceremony is a mock diploma and it the actual diploma is given to them only after a couple of weeks, this is routine that is being followed in most of the colleges and universities. Graduation ceremonies don't come often and after a point in time they just stop coming, so be geared about it. In case the graduation gown is of white or else yellow color, ensure that you wear light color underneath - not just it will be cooler outline will not show up in the graduation pictures! Gentlemen may have to wear tie depending on the school customs. Although the school is not at all forcing you wear that, get one anyway – and it looks nice & formal. You will get rep tie or foulard as well as wear with with neatly pressed shirt in color white, blue or other pale color. Either spread collar or else button down are just fine. As far as pants go, wear the neatly pressed khaki or else olive drab trousers – and dress trousers are not the necessity. The graduation shoes must be moderately dressy, flats or else pumps are just fine however nothing you would go in the mosh pit to. The gentlemen graduates must wear either loafer or else dress shoe. Any time, please don't wear the jeans or else shorts, flip flops, sandals, or tennis shoes or else bunny slippers – also keep them in bed room or else dorm.
