There are 3 main styles of snowboards that are popular with riders today. The most common is the freeride board which is the snowboard that most first time riders would use. The speed freaks who love shredding the groomed hard-packed trails will have Alpine snowboards. But the adrenaline junkies who want to grab as much air as possible and test themselves with tricks and extreme boarding will get themselves a freestyle snowboard.
A freestyle snowboard is shorter, fatter and easier to manoeuvre than other boards. It will also have twin tips and this means that the tip and the tail are identical in shape. Finally, a freestyle board will be lighter than other boards, perfect for grabbing enough air for the aerial tricks, half-pipe moves and rail slides that the freestyler loves to perform.
Within the freestyle board category there are also a couple of different styles of boards to cater for the different terrain upon which the tricks are going to be performed. You can either buy a snowboard specifically for half-pipe which will be more flexible so that it can flex to the curve of the pipe. Or you can buy a slopestyle board which is more suitable for the skateboard-type of ground tricks that can be performed.
All of the major snowboard makers carry a strong range of freestyle snowboards so one of the hardest decisions the snowboarder is going to have to make is which one to choose. Often times it can come down to loyalty to a brand or even the graphic art that has been used to decorate the board.
If you are planning on buying a snowboard you should first think about the kind of snowboarding you're going to want to do and then buy the type of snowboard that suits that style. If you plan on performing tricks or riding the half-pipes of your local snowboard park you're going to have to choose yourself a freestyle snowboard.

Figure Skate $68.51 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Figure skates are a type of ice skate used by figure skaters. The skates consist of a boot and a blade that is attached with screws to the sole of the boot. Inexpensive sets for recreational skaters are available, but most figure skaters purchase boots and blades separately and have the blades mounted by a professional skate technician. Ice skates have a history dating back thousands of years. Specific figure skates were created in response to the rise of figure skatings popularity in the 19th century, coinciding with the beginnings of formalized competitions such as the World Figure Skating Championships. The name figure skating arises from the compulsory portion of the competition, dropped in the 1990s, requiring skaters to trace out precise figures on the ice, including perfect figure 8 circles.
