Advantage of Leather Chairs
Leather is a hardwearing material made from animal hide. It is commonly used in the making of many items including shoes, bags, belts, and sports equipment. It is also a popular and good choice of material for furniture.
Finding the right office chair can be a difficult task, choosing the type of material to have your chair upholstered in is a great place to start. Popular chair manufacturers have been upholstering most office chairs in fabric and leather. Leather is a great choice for an office chair, because as well as being comfortable and durable, it is stylish and clean.
Leather is usually sold in four different forms; Full Grain, Top Grain, Corrected Grain and Split Leather.
Full grain is the most natural form of leather. It has not been treated for the removal of marks or bumps. Full grain leather is very strong, and also breathable.
Top grain leather has been sanded to give it a smoother finish and more flexibility than top grain. It comes at a lower price and is also less easily stained than top grain.
Corrected Grain is a less natural leather. It is made with an artificial grain placed on the natural surface. It is sanded to remove stains and bumps, and is usually artificially coloured.
Split leather is made from the inside layer fibres, beneath the top grain rawhide, of thick leather. Suede is often made from split leather.
Leather office chairs are available in the traditional colours such as black, brown and cream, but are also available for purchase in more contemporary colours. They are also available in a wide price range, ranging from budget and discount products to high quality products. Leather can be wiped clean, and high quality leather, with the right treatment, is one of the most long lasting materials used for furnishing.
